Kevin M. Murphy is the George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor of Economics Emeritus at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has been affiliated with the university since 1984 and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago (1986). His research focuses on empirical analysis of inequality, unemployment, and relative wages; the economics of growth and development; addiction; and the economic value of health improvements.
