Kevin Li is a full Professor of Management Science at the University of Windsor's Odette School of Business, where he has held faculty positions since 2004. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo (2003), an M.S. in Systems Engineering from Xiamen University (1994), and a B.A. in Control Sciences from the same institution (1991).
Professor Li's research focuses on quantitative approaches to operations management, with primary expertise in:
- Game-theoretic modeling of supply chain conflicts and cooperation
- Sustainable operations and closed-loop supply chains
- Behavioral decision analysis under uncertainty
- Inventory management and newsvendor problems
- Digital transformation in multi-echelon systems
Professor Li has received significant recognition for his research contributions, including multiple Odette Research Excellence Awards (2010, 2015, 2019, 2022-2023) and a JSPS Invitational Fellowship. He maintains active membership in professional societies including IEEE (Senior Member) and the Canadian Operational Research Society.
His research has been supported by competitive grants including a 5-year NSERC Discovery Grant (2018-2022) focused on game-theoretical analysis in sustainable supply chain management, along with multiple institutional research awards totaling over $200,000 in funding.
