Kevin Gerigk is a researcher and language educator affiliated with Lancaster University (School of Social Sciences) and Aston University (Department of Forensic Linguistics). His work bridges Corpus Linguistics with English Language Teaching, focusing on active listenership in EFL materials and data-driven learning approaches.

Gerigk recently co-convened a module on Corpus Linguistics for Translation Students in Chile and mentors social science students in applying corpus methods. His current projects include developing a general service list of conversational English and exploring corpus-assisted teaching in ESP contexts.
His 2024 doctoral thesis examines active listenership in EFL coursebooks through corpus pragmatics, analyzing response tokens and conversational dynamics. This work combines quantitative and qualitative methods to assess pedagogical authenticity.
