Kevin Dobbin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Data Science, & Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, Augusta University. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Minnesota (2001), a BA in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder (1996), and a BA in English Language and Literature from Saint John's College (1987). His research focuses on biomarker development, high-dimensional data analysis, cancer applications, and experimental design.
Dr. Dobbin has received notable awards, including the Distinguished Cancer Scholar (2009) and multiple NIH Performance Awards (2007, 2003). He teaches courses such as Survival Analysis and Clinical Trials, emphasizing statistical methodologies in public health and biostatistics.
He actively contributes to university and professional service, including roles in Augusta University’s IACUC, editorial boards of Journal of Clinical Oncology and Statistics in Medicine, and the National Cancer Institute’s Assay Validation Panel. His service also extends to community initiatives like the CASA Program and Arthritis Foundation.
Key research projects include influenza vaccine modeling, tuberculosis treatment adherence interventions, and cross-species cancer subtype analysis. His work bridges biostatistical innovation with real-world health challenges in oncology and infectious diseases.
