Kevin Ching is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College, and an Associate Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He serves as Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Medicine NewYork Presbyterian Simulation Center, overseeing multidisciplinary simulation programs for medical trainees. His academic roles include co-founding and chairing the BASE Camp conference, which focuses on crisis resource management and emergency team training.
Dr. Ching holds dual appointments in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, with research interests centered on simulation-based education, procedural skills improvement, and pediatric emergency care human factors. He graduated from Lehigh University (B.A., 1993) and Drexel University College of Medicine (M.D., 2001), completing residency and fellowship training at Weill Cornell and NYU-Bellevue.
His clinical expertise spans pediatric emergency medicine, and he has published internationally on simulation pedagogy. Dr. Ching's work emphasizes innovative teaching methods and the application of simulation to improve patient outcomes through team performance optimization.
