Kevin Broughton is an Assistant Professor at Coventry University's Research Centre for Business in Society within the Faculty of Business and Law. With over 20 years of research expertise, his work focuses on inclusive economies, urban regeneration, voluntary sector dynamics, and policy evaluation. He holds a PhD from Coventry University and MSc/BSocSc degrees from the University of Birmingham.
His research interests include foundational economy frameworks, neighbourhood renewal strategies, and the impact of government policies on community initiatives. He has contributed to projects like the 'Transforming Leadership' programme evaluation and KEYSSTONE transport ecosystem studies. Broughton supervises PhD and DBA candidates and teaches qualitative research methods in the Doctoral College.
He has led over 10 research projects since 2008, including evaluations of cultural initiatives and creative freelancer business models. His work aligns with UN SDGs related to sustainable cities and economic inclusion.
