Kevin Bielamowicz

Dr. Kevin Bielamowicz serves as an Assistant Professor in the section of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children's Hospital, where he joined the faculty in 2016. He holds dual board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology and directs the Brain Tumor Clinic and Innovative Cancer Therapeutics Program at Arkansas Children's.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology and Education from the University of Texas at Austin
• Medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas
• Pediatric residency at UAMS/Arkansas Children’s Hospital
• Fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital
• Neuro-oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital

Dr. Bielamowicz specializes in pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors, histiocytic disorders, neuroblastoma, retinoblastoma, and genetic cancer predisposition syndromes. His research emphasizes early-phase clinical trials and experimental therapeutics for children with treatment-refractory cancers, focusing on novel approaches like immunotherapy and precision medicine.

He actively participates in national and international research consortia including the Children’s Oncology Group, Beat Childhood Cancer Consortium, POETIC, SoPNOC, NEXT Consortium, and NACHO to expand clinical trial access for Arkansas patients. His work integrates bone marrow transplantation and experimental therapeutics through Arkansas Children's Hospital programs.

As medical director of the Brain Tumor Clinic and Innovative Cancer Therapeutics Program, he leads specialized teams providing cutting-edge care for complex pediatric oncology cases across Arkansas Children's Hospital network.
