Kevin Arthur Milton Casseday is a Lecturer at the School of Music, University of Florida. He has been affiliated with the institution since 1986, specializing in double bass performance and pedagogy. His roles include teaching, performing in solo and chamber concerts across genres like Jazz, rock, and electro-acoustic music, and leading the Florida Bass Bash, a weeklong festival for young bassists.

His pedagogical contributions include composing over twenty quartets for young bassists, authoring Six Week Warm Up for Double Bass, and the scale studies book Skatin'. Current projects involve editing Alec Wilder's bass solo music and transcribing the Capuzzi concerto.
Education: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Bass Performance from Indiana University, under Stuart Sankey, Eugene Levinson, Edgar Meyer (performance), and Donald Grantham/Bernad Heiden (composition).
