Kesewa John is a Lecturer in Black British History at the Department of History, Goldsmiths, University of London. A bilingual (French/English) Black feminist historian, she investigates transatlantic, multilingual linkages between Afro-Caribbean activists and the evolution of Black radical thought, emphasizing intersections with Black feminist and Caribbean liberation movements.
Academic qualifications:
- PhD in History (2021)
- MA in Ethnicity, Globalisation, and Culture (2011)
- BA in French and History (2006)
Her teaching focuses on histories of the Radical Black press, Black intellectual traditions, Caribbean histories, and Francophone Black histories, convening the MA in Black British History.
