Kerstin Lidén is a Professor at the Department of Archaeology and Classical Studies, Stockholm University, and a key figure in the Human Sciences Area (Humanities, Law and Social Sciences). Her interdisciplinary research combines biology and archaeology with a focus on stable isotope analysis, ancient DNA studies, and environmental humanities. She has pioneered methodological innovations in isotope analysis for dietary reconstruction, radiocarbon dating, and marine mammal ecology studies, particularly in the Baltic Sea region.
