Kerstin Fahr is a Professor at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she teaches recorder and chamber music in the Institute of Classical and Church Music. She holds additional positions as a lecturer at the Conservatoire de Lausanne and previously served as a substitute professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. Her academic background includes advanced studies in recorder and baroque violin at music academies in Freiburg, Frankfurt, and Lyon.
Her research focuses on historical performance practices, with emphasis on:
- Baroque and contemporary recorder techniques
- Chamber music collaboration
- Interdisciplinary projects combining music with dance and literature
