Yasuyo Yano

Yasuyo Yano is a Lecturer at the Institute of Classical and Church Music within the Lucerne School of Music (HSLU), Switzerland. She is a renowned classical pianist specializing in both modern and historical instruments, with a focus on chamber music, correpetition, and piano pedagogy.

Her research and professional interests include classical piano performance, historical performance practice on instruments like the Hammerklavier, music education, and collaborative chamber music. She has performed and collaborated internationally with prominent musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Thomas Zehetmair, and Hermann Baumann.

Yasuyo Yano has participated in prestigious festivals like the Venice Music Festival, Settimana Musicale Senese, and Menuhin Festival Gstaad, often in duo with violinist Giuliano Carmignola. Her teaching subjects at HSLU include Classical Correpetition and Classical Piano as a non-degree program.
