Kerrie Unsworth

Kerrie Unsworth serves as Associate Professor and Honorary Research Fellow in the Management and Organisations discipline at The University of Western Australia Business School. She holds significant leadership roles including Associate Dean for International Relations and Deputy Head of Discipline. Her academic journey began with an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland (1994), followed by a PhD from the Institute of Work Psychology at the University of Sheffield (2001), where her research focused on enhancing creativity in Rolls Royce and BAE Systems engineers.

Dr. Unsworth's research program investigates the intersection of motivation, creativity, pro-environmental behaviors, and well-being in organizational contexts. Her work examines how individuals navigate competing work-life priorities to create more fulfilling professional experiences. Current research emphasizes sex differences in workplace behavior, job crafting dynamics, leadership identity, and sustainable organizational practices, with strong connections to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to well-being, gender equality, and climate action.

Analysis of her recent publications reveals consistent focus on organizational behavior with increasing attention to gender dynamics and sustainability. Her 2023-2018 work shows strong methodological diversity including qualitative studies on leadership friendships and large-scale quantitative analyses of sex differences in innovative behavior.
