Kerri Nelson serves as the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program Coordinator and Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at Charleston Southern University. She joined the faculty in 2017 after earning advanced degrees in nursing from Penn State University and East Stroudsburg University.

Her research focuses on innovative teaching methods using escape room gamification in nursing education and advocacy for rare disorders. She integrates faith into classroom and clinical settings, serving as a Volunteer State Ambassador for the South Carolina Rare Action Network.
Nelson teaches Adult Health II and Adult Health IV in undergraduate programs, as well as Quality and Safety in Nursing at the graduate level.
