Dr. Kerri Golden serves as both Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Education and Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy and Public Health at Saint Francis University. She joined the faculty in 2000 as an Assistant Professor, advancing through roles emphasizing leadership and advocacy.
Education:
- Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), Indiana University of Pennsylvania
- Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT), Duquesne University
- Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, Duquesne University
Research & Advocacy: Focuses on psychosocial approaches in occupational therapy, leadership development, healthcare advocacy, and policy. She actively advocates for occupational therapists’ roles in improving healthcare efficiency and access, leading student advocacy trips to Washington DC. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), she supports at-risk children in Cambria County.
Awards: Recognized by the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association for teaching excellence and advocacy efforts.
Teaching & Service: Teaches courses including OT 301/302/403 and public health (PUBH 101/111). Serves as a bridge between academic leadership and clinical practice, emphasizing student advocacy and community engagement.
