Margaret Cash

Margaret Cash is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Program at Northeastern State University (NSU). She began her career in clinical practice after earning her Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) from Texas Woman's University in 2004, establishing a private therapy practice in 2005 that remains operational. In 2016, she transitioned to academia, bringing extensive occupational therapy and business management experience. She completed a post-professional clinical Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) in 2019 with foci in education, research, and leadership.

Her research and practice interests center on interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and the integration of occupational therapy into primary care and health management. She advocates for authentic occupational therapy and has developed a private-pay model to improve access to therapy services. Margaret also serves as a mentor to occupational therapists, including NSU OT alumni.
