Michele Ann Tarantino

Michele Ann Tarantino is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy and Director of Clinical Education at Quinnipiac University. She holds a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Salus University and has over 29 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, specializing in low vision rehabilitation and geriatric care. Her expertise spans public health, global health initiatives, and sensory processing integration.

• Education: BS in Occupational Therapy from University of New Hampshire, MPH in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University, OTD from Salus University, and CT State License (1993).
• Professional Roles: Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), and Owner of EyeHelp Consulting, LLC.
• Community Engagement: Board member of the Library for the Blind Advisory Committee, Connecticut OT Association Awards Committee, and BAWA Health Initiative Board in Cameroon.

Tarantino teaches adult physical disability content and oversees Capstone projects in Quinnipiac’s MOT and OTD programs. Her research interests include interdisciplinary clinical education models, low vision rehabilitation, and health equity in underserved populations. She also contributes to global health through leadership in Cameroon’s health clinics.
