Kerri-Anne Von Deest is an Associate Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), where she focuses on creating authentic learning experiences for students transitioning into healthcare professions. She coordinates the Diploma of Allied Health Assistance program and serves on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Working Party for the School of Health.
Her teaching emphasizes interprofessional education and the integration of Indigenous perspectives into health curricula. Research interests include occupational therapy pedagogy, allied health curriculum design, and culturally responsive healthcare education. Von Deest holds Fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy (UK, 2023) and supervises Honours research students in occupational therapy.
