Kent Weber is an Assistant Professor of History (Fixed Term) and Assistant Director of the Asian Pacific American (APA) Studies Program at Michigan State University's Department of History, within the College of Social Science. His research focuses on transnational U.S. immigration policy, U.S. empire in the Pacific and Caribbean, and the intersection of race, law, and colonization. He is currently completing a book project analyzing the enforcement of Chinese Exclusion Laws beyond the continental U.S.
