Kenny Sherr is an Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington School of Public Health, with adjunct appointments in Epidemiology and Industrial Systems & Engineering. He directs the world's first PhD program in Implementation Science. Sherr holds a PhD in Epidemiology (UW, 2009), MPH in Health Services (UW, 2000), and BA in Anthropology/Sociology (Kenyon College, 1995).
Research Focus: His work centers on bridging the 17-year gap between scientific discovery and real-world implementation in low-resource settings. Sherr applies systems engineering frameworks to scale evidence-based interventions, currently leading a 6-year Doris Duke Foundation project in Mozambique targeting neonatal mortality through health system strengthening, workforce training, and service delivery optimization.

Affiliations: Affiliated with Health Alliance International and UW's Center for Global Health Nursing. Spends 5 months/year conducting fieldwork in Mozambique with his family.
