Hyun Kim is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Sciences. His research focuses on climate change impacts on human health, epidemiologic evidence for policy interventions, and implementation of climate-resilient healthcare infrastructure. He collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO) and member state governments in climate-vulnerable regions.
Key projects include:
- Strengthening Health Adaptation Project (SHAPE, Fiji - 5.5M USD)
- Te Ma Mauri Kiribati project (6M USD)
- Climate resilience initiatives in North Korea, Vietnam, and ASEAN countries
