Kenny Gonzalez

Dr. Kenny Gonzalez is an Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching psychology courses at Montclair State University and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. As a clinical forensic psychologist, he specializes in police and public safety psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Forensic concentration) from Montclair State University in 2024, following an M.A. (2018) and B.A. (2016) in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. A first-generation college student, he emphasizes making psychological science accessible to diverse learners.

His research examines culturally informed forensic practices, particularly:

• Forensic mental health diagnostics
• Violence risk assessment methodologies
• Multicultural competence in law enforcement evaluations
• Psychopathy and criminogenic factors
• Rehabilitation of sexual offenders

He has presented at major conferences including the American Psychology-Law Society and International Association of Chiefs of Police.
