معرفی
Dr. Kenneth Wallace is a Professor of Biology at Clarkson University's Lewis School of Health & Life Sciences, leading research in zebrafish developmental biology and nanotoxicity assessment. Using zebrafish embryos as model organisms, his lab investigates digestive system development and nanoparticle biocompatibility through collaborations with analytical chemistry researchers. Current projects examine intestinal stem cell niche formation and nanoparticle impacts on neurotransmitter systems.
Research programs focus on: 1) Molecular regulation of intestinal epithelial development 2) Environmental nanoparticle toxicity assessment 3) Electrochemical biosensor development for in vivo monitoring. His laboratory employs mutant analysis, immunohistochemistry, RNA in situ hybridization, and advanced electrochemical sensing techniques to study developmental processes and environmental impacts.
Recent publications (2018-2022) demonstrate innovation in: 1) In vivo neurotransmitter monitoring technologies 2) Silver nanoparticle toxicology 3) Intestinal stem cell organization. Collaborative work with Dr. Silvana Andreescu has produced novel electrochemical sensors for real-time biochemical monitoring in live embryos.
Dr. Wallace teaches Comparative Anatomy, Vertebrate Anatomy Lab, and Molecular Genetics courses at Clarkson University, mentoring both undergraduate and graduate researchers in developmental biology techniques.
