Kenneth Pérez is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Psychological Sciences Education at the University of Connecticut, based at the Avery Point campus. He holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University (2020) and a B.A. from the University of Connecticut – Storrs (2015). His teaching portfolio includes undergraduate courses such as General Psychology I (PSYC 1100), General Psychology II (PSYC 1101), Social Psychology (PSYC 2700), The Study of Personality (PSYC 2301), and Special Topics: Latinx Psychology (PSYC 3885).
Dr. Pérez's research focuses on Affective Science with specialization in the emotion of awe. His work examines phenomenological aspects, experimental elicitation methods, and the impact of awe on psychological well-being.
