Kenneth Kulosa is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Washington University and Adjunct Professor of Cello at Webster University. His primary roles include teaching cello and performing in various ensembles.
Education: Graduate of the New England Conservatory and University of Houston, studying under Laurence Lesser and Hans Jorgen Jensen.
Research interests focus on cello performance, chamber music, and period performance practices, particularly with historical instruments like the baroque cello and viola da gamba. He actively participates in early music ensembles such as the Kingsbury Early Music Ensemble and has performed internationally.
Awards: Recognized as 2003 Artist/Teacher of the Year by the Missouri Chapter of the American String Teachers Association.
Teaching: Maintains a large private studio, placing students in major U.S. music schools. Also teaches chamber music and is involved in community outreach through the Saint Louis Symphony’s partnership programs.
Performance Groups: Member of Kingsbury Early Music Ensemble, Early Music St. Louis, and performs with the Sheldon Concert Hall’s Classical Connections Trio. Regularly participates in festivals like the Festival de Musique Ancienne de Saint-Savin in France.
