Kenneth Gross is the Alan F. Hilfiker Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Rochester's School of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD from Yale University and specializes in Renaissance to modern literature, with a focus on Shakespeare, lyric poetry, puppet theater, and children's literature. His research explores themes like the 'moving statue' fantasy, the cultural power of puppetry, and the role of the child in literature.
