Kenneth Foerch serves as Lecturer in Music (Saxophone) at Pomona College since 2001 and Associate Professor at Vanguard University, where he heads the Jazz Studies Department, directs the Jazz Ensemble/Combo/Saxophone Quartet, and conducts the Concert Band.
His education includes a D.M.A. from the University of Southern California, M.M. from the Eastman School of Music, and B.M. from Michigan State University.
Foerch specializes in jazz and classical saxophone performance, with extensive orchestral experience including the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Dudamel and Salonen, collaborations with Herbie Hancock and John Legend, and co-founding the Capitol Saxophone Quartet. His work bridges academic instruction and professional performance across chamber, jazz, and orchestral contexts.

As an educator, he mentors through ensemble direction at both institutions and previously served as principal saxophonist for the United States Marine Band. Current ensembles include the Orion and Encore Saxophone Quartets, with notable performances at SaxFest Internacional Costa Rica (2015) and the Ninth World Saxophone Congress.
