Kenneth E. White, PhD is the Chancellor's Professor and David D. Weaver Professor of Genetics at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Professor of Medical & Molecular Genetics and Professor of Medicine. He directs the MMGE Division of Molecular Genetics and Gene Therapy and is affiliated with the Indiana Center for Musculoskeletal Health (ICMH).
Dr. White received his PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Dartmouth Medical School followed by an NIH-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. During this period, he played an instrumental role in discovering the novel hormone FGF23, which has defined his research career. His laboratory has been continuously funded to study FGF23 and its co-receptor Klotho since this pivotal discovery.
