Kenneth Danchik is a part-time faculty member in the Music Department at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. With over 40 years of experience as an organist and church musician, he specializes in French organ traditions, contemporary music, and improvisation. He serves as associate organist at Saint Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh, playing the renowned Beckerath Organ. Danchik is sub-dean of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and teaches at the Pittsburgh Organ Academy.
Education:
- MM in Music, Duquesne University
- BSME, Duquesne University
- FAGO certification from the American Guild of Organists
His professional activities include collaborations with the Carnegie Brass and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO). His home studio features a custom 3-manual pipe organ. Danchik is also a charter member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Pastoral Musicians.
