Kenneth Campellone is Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at UConn. His lab investigates cytoskeletal control of cell organization/movement, remodeling during infection/mutation, and impacts on biological aging using bioinformatic, genetic, and cellular approaches.
Research focuses on actin nucleation factors (Arp2/3 complex, WHAMM, JMY) in membrane trafficking, apoptosis, and host-pathogen interactions. Recent publications explore actin's role in autophagosome formation, apoptosome assembly, and genomic stability, with implications for aging and infectious disease.
