معرفی
Kenneth Caidahl is a Senior Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery at Karolinska Institutet. His research focuses on cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and medical imaging, with a particular emphasis on atherosclerosis, pulmonary function, and exercise physiology. He leads the Clinical Physiology – Marcus Carlsson's research group and contributes to large-scale studies like the SCAPIS cohort. Dr. Caidahl holds a Docent degree from Göteborgs Universitet (1991) and has authored over 300 peer-reviewed articles. His work spans diagnostic imaging techniques, cardiovascular epidemiology, and translational research in diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
- Affiliations: Karolinska Institutet, Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery
- Key Research Themes: Atherosclerosis biomarkers, arterial stiffness, pulmonary-cardiovascular interactions, and exercise physiology in chronic diseases
- Major Projects: SCAPIS study, MINOCA imaging analyses, and molecular imaging of inflammation
His research integrates clinical cardiology with advanced imaging and metabolomics, addressing both diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine.
