Kenneth Anthony is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership within the College of Education at Mississippi State University (MSU). Starting July 1, 2024, he assumed the role of interim head of the department and serves as the undergraduate coordinator for the elementary education program, where he teaches courses related to middle-school social studies.
His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in Gifted Education from Mississippi University for Women. Most recently, he earned a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, graduating with distinction.
Anthony's research focuses on key areas in education such as homeschooling, parent involvement, and the critical role of social studies and civics education in fostering an informed and engaged citizenry. He emphasizes the connection between education and national power, advocating for stronger civic understanding, particularly regarding government functions and international affairs.
Though no recent publications are listed, his authorship of the forthcoming textbook "Mississippi: Our History, Our Home" indicates active contributions to K–12 curriculum development across the state, aligning with his broader mission of improving teacher preparation and educational outcomes.

Anthony is also a lieutenant colonel in the Mississippi Army National Guard, assigned to the 114th Digital Liaison Detachment as maneuver chief, following prior service in the U.S. Army Reserve.
