Ken Resnicow is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology & Community Health at the University of Minnesota. With over 35 years of experience in health behavior and health equity research, he has worked with collaborators in 25+ countries and trained >1,000 professionals in motivational interviewing and technology-driven health interventions.
- Education: PhD in Health Psychology (Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Ferkauf Graduate School, 1985); BA in Psychology & Philosophy (Yeshiva College, 1980)
His research bridges motivational interviewing, self-determination theory, and chaos theory to design person-centered interventions addressing smoking cessation, cancer screening, vaccine uptake, and obesity prevention. Recent work emphasizes eHealth technologies, including digital coaches and GPS-triggered behavioral nudges.
