Dr. Ken Foote is Professor of Geography and Director of Urban and Community Studies at the University of Connecticut's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. A leading scholar in cultural-historical geography and GIScience, he examines landscape memory, urban history, and violence commemoration. His book Shadowed Ground pioneered studies of trauma in the American landscape.
His research focuses on:
