Ken Eick is a Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences at Oakland University, specializing in Orthotist and Prosthetist Assistant Studies. He has been a Guest Lecturer for the Physical Therapy department since 1993 and currently contributes to the Orthotic and Prosthetic program. His work integrates advanced technologies like micro-processing knee systems, Helix hip joints, and Omega digital scanning systems to enhance patient care. He also directs the Mobility Center at the Michigan Vascular Center, focusing on innovative prosthetic solutions.

Research & Professional Work: Ken pioneered the use of elevated vacuum brimless sockets and has coordinated educational programs for physical therapists and physicians across Michigan. Affiliations & Community: As a Certified Prosthetist via the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc., he actively supports Amputee Blade Runners, providing free sports prostheses to young amputees. His personal interests include boating, skiing, and running for fitness.
