Kelly Yordy is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education and Director of the MA in Higher Education programs at Taylor University. She collaborates on leadership development initiatives, including co-creating the Leadership Exploration for Women program for regional CCCU institutions, and conducts research on women faculty’s leadership development pathways.

Her research focuses on international higher education leadership, organizational governance, work-life balance in academia, and student development education. She utilizes quantitative methods and qualitative frameworks like Nel Noddings’ ethic of care to analyze campus culture and leadership challenges.
Her publications, spanning 2018–2021, explore themes such as racial discrimination on college campuses, faculty stress, and holistic student development. These works emphasize equity, leadership training, and cultural competence in higher education.

Dr. Yordy received a $5,000 grant from Taylor University’s Women’s Giving Circle (2022) for research on women’s leadership development. She also collaborates with colleagues on faculty leadership programs.
She contributes to community development through roles like coaching youth soccer, serving on the Our Town Upland committee, and participating in Pierce Church leadership activities.
