Kelly Melnyk is a Crown Counsel with the British Columbia Prosecutions Service and a Sessional Lecturer at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Faculty of Law. She holds a BA from the University of Alberta and a JD from TRU. Her expertise spans criminal law, family law, advance planning, and legal issues affecting aging populations. She is actively engaged in teaching Elder Law, Wills and Estates, and coaching the MacIntyre Cup moot team at TRU.

Kelly has served on the board of the Centre for Seniors Information in Kamloops and remains a board member of the Kamloops Bar Association.
