Her additional research interests include anthropometric and physiological characteristics of elite water polo players, physiological profiling of athletes, test reliability and validity, sports performer monitoring, fatigue mechanisms, intermittent team sports, and fixture congestion effects.
Her publication record demonstrates consistent research output since 2005, with significant contributions to sports physiology literature. Recent work has centered on soccer-specific performance, physiological responses to match-play simulations, and the relationship between sleep patterns and cardiovascular function. Her research shows strong interdisciplinary connections between sports science, physiology, and chronobiology.
Dr. Marrin remains actively engaged in academic activities, with an upcoming presentation scheduled for September 2024 on 'Academic Standards in Sport related programmes,' indicating her continued involvement in curriculum development and educational standards within her field.
