Kelly Conway

Dr. Kelly Conway serves as Professor and Dean of the College of Nursing at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She joined the faculty in May 2016, became Associate Professor and Assistant Director of Nursing in 2018, and was appointed Dean in September 2021. She spearheaded the development of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) programs, co-led successful CCNE accreditation, and recently launched a comprehensive curriculum redesign.

Her educational credentials include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Public Health Certificate from University of San Francisco
• Master’s in Adult Mental Health from University of California, San Francisco
• Doctoral degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions

Dr. Conway’s research centers on mental health disparities among homeless populations, emphasizing innovative access models through interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based practice. Her work integrates public health frameworks with social determinants of health to address systemic barriers in medical and psychiatric care delivery for vulnerable communities, drawing from over a decade of frontline clinical experience in VA outreach programs.

Her distinguished honors include:

• AACN Fellow in Executive Leadership in Academic Nursing (ELAN)
• Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (FNAP)

As an active community leader, Dr. Conway serves on governing boards for housing and mental health advocacy organizations while consulting nationally on homeless outreach strategies. Her administrative leadership extends to completing an RMU accreditation fellowship and directing program development for underserved population initiatives.
