Jonathan Baird

Jonathan Baird, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, ATC is an Assistant Professor and Principal Faculty member of the Physician Assistant Program at Rocky Mountain University (RMU). He joined the faculty in 2015 as one of the founding members. His expertise spans primary care medicine across the lifespan, sports medicine, non-operative orthopedics, and medical wellness.

Dr. Baird's research and clinical interests focus on diabetes management, medical ethics, and weight loss strategies. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, he has held roles including athletic trainer at Dixie High School and family medicine practitioner with the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah clinic and Medallus Medical. Currently, he practices at the Volunteer Care Clinic in Provo, Utah.

His teaching emphasizes bridging clinical practice with educational innovation in health professions.
