Kelly Bentley

Kelly Bentley is an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Public Health at the University of Maine at Farmington. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of New Brunswick (2014), an M.P.H. from Boston University (1996), and a B.Ed. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1989).

Her research focuses on women’s health, mothering, intimate partner violence (IPV), and health policy. With over 24 years of community health experience, she has collaborated internationally, nationally, and at state and local levels. Bentley is recognized for her work on mothers and IPV, actively contributing to violence prevention initiatives in her community. She has secured over 25 grants from federal, state, and philanthropic organizations for community interventions, evaluations, and academic research.
