Dr. Kellie Jones holds a professorship at Columbia University spanning Art History and Archaeology and African American and African Diaspora Studies, with additional roles as Visiting Critic at the University of Pennsylvania's Stuart Weitzman School of Design (2020). Her career bridges academia and curatorial practice with over three decades of institutional engagement.
Her research critically examines African American and African Diaspora artists, Latinx/Latin American artistic practices, and foundational issues in contemporary art and museum theory.
