Kelli R. Gill is a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow in Georgia Tech's Writing and Communication Program (WCP), housed within the School of Literature, Media, and Communication. Her research bridges rhetoric, digital media, and food studies, examining how online spaces negotiate power through food discourse. She holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from Texas Christian University.
Her work centers on digital food genres, embodiment theory, and inclusive pedagogy. Gill co-leads the AI Literacy Community of Practice, a Provost-funded initiative, and advises the GT Debate Team. She founded FoodRhetoric.com, an open-access resource exploring intersections of food and writing.
Gill’s teaching emphasizes humanity-centered approaches, cultural situatedness, and accessibility in composition. Her current book project analyzes conflicts in digital food communities to reveal structural inequities. She actively publishes on topics like zine pedagogy, hashtag activism, and working-class food symbolism.
