Andy Frazee

Andy Frazee is a Teaching Professor and Director of the Writing and Communication Program (WCP) at Georgia Tech's School of Literature, Media, and Communication. He oversees first-year composition, business communication, and technical communication courses, and supervises the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellows and WCP lecturers. He holds a Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing from the University of Georgia, and M.F.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His research focuses on writing program administration, pedagogy, faculty development, and postmodern literature. He teaches courses in technical communication, postmodern literature, and facilitates postdoctoral seminars on multimodal pedagogy. His scholarship has been published in WPA: Writing Program Administration, Computers and Composition, and IEEE proceedings.

Frazee’s articles emphasize digital pedagogy, multimodal assessment, and blended learning environments. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in writing programs, particularly in fostering collaborative learning and multiliteracies. He advocates for innovative approaches to assessment rubrics and community-building in academic settings.

He advises postdoctoral fellows and oversees the WCP’s professional development initiatives. The program focuses on integrating technology, multimodal communication, and critical thinking into undergraduate curricula.
