Dr. Kelli Jo Kerry-Moran is a Professor in the Department of Professional Studies in Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she coordinates the Curriculum and Instruction doctoral program. She holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University and has extensive experience in early childhood education, including directing children's theater companies and teaching preschool programs. Her scholarship centers on narrative methodologies, literacy development, and arts integration in education.
Dr. Kerry-Moran co-edited Story in Children's Lives: Contributions of the Narrative Mode to Early Childhood Development, Literacy, and Learning, featuring international scholarship on narrative approaches. Her research examines bibliotherapy, multimodal literacy, family storytelling, and the influence of companion animals on child development. She has presented educational workshops across the United States, Europe, and China.
