Keith Loeb is a Professor at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in the Translational Science and Therapeutics Division and Public Health Sciences Division, and holds a concurrent Professorship in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Washington.
His educational background includes:
- MD from Medical College of Wisconsin (1995)
- PhD in Biochemistry from Medical College of Wisconsin (1994)
Dr. Loeb's research focuses on molecular mechanisms of genetic instability and cancer pathogenesis, particularly cyclin E dysregulation in chromosomal abnormalities. His work bridges basic science investigations of super-enhancer mutations and chromosomal instability with clinical hematopathology expertise in blood stem cell transplantation complications. Current clinical research examines graft-versus-host disease, infectious complications, and donor-derived microglial cell engraftment in the brain post-transplant.
Active projects include characterizing super-enhancer mutations in myeloid malignancies, analyzing donor cell microglial compartment engraftment, and investigating ETS transcription factor roles in acute myeloid leukemia pathogenesis.
