Teresa Hyun

Teresa Hyun, MD, PhD, serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington and Associate Professor in the Translational Science and Therapeutics Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where she also works as Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist.

Dr. Hyun's research centers on hematolymphoid neoplasms and hematopoietic stem cell transplant pathology, with emphasis on prognostic factors and treatment response in multiple myeloma and myeloid malignancies. Her work critically examines transplant complications including graft-versus-host disease through histologic evaluation of tissue damage mechanisms.

Within Fred Hutch's Translational Science and Therapeutics Division, she leads pathology-focused investigations bridging cellular biology of blood cancers with clinical transplantation outcomes.
