Keith Baker is the D. Allan Bromley Professor of Physics at Yale University, specializing in experimental particle physics. His research focuses on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) via the ATLAS collaboration and precision studies of sub-eV energy phenomena. He pioneered quantum information science applications in HEP, including entanglement entropy studies in proton-proton collisions. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University (1987).
Research interests include electroweak symmetry breaking, beyond-standard-model physics, and axion/hidden sector photon searches through experiments like the Yale Microwave Cavity Experiment (YMCE). His work contributed to the Higgs boson discovery and advanced dark sector searches via exotic Higgs decays.
Awarded Fellowships from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and American Physical Society, he also received the Edward Bouchet Award and is inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. His group includes graduate students like Ana Malagon and collaborates internationally through ATLAS.
