Keith Arthur Bolden serves as Associate Professor of Theater and Performance at Spelman College, where he has taught since 2013. His expertise encompasses African American theater traditions, advanced acting methodologies, and performance technique development with emphasis on voice and movement training.

Professor Bolden's research focuses on August Wilson's dramatic canon, Tectonic Theatre's moment work, and Viewpoints/Laban Efforts frameworks. He investigates how these approaches cultivate authentic expression in actors, particularly within African American theatrical contexts, while advancing pedagogical techniques for voice, movement, and character embodiment.
His artistic contributions have earned recognition including the LA Drama Critics Circle Award, Stage Scene LA Award, and LA Webfest Best Actor Award, alongside nominations for prestigious NAACP and Ovation awards.
At Spelman, Professor Bolden instructs foundational courses including Principles of Acting, Acting for Non-Majors, Breath/Voice and Movement, Styles of Acting, Voice and Speech, and Acting for the Camera. His professional career spans major theater productions like 'Fetch Clay, Make Man' and 'Gem of the Ocean', television series including 'The Haunting of Hill House' and 'Cobra Kai', and films such as 'Mile 22', demonstrating his dual commitment to academic instruction and professional artistry.
