Kefa M. Otiso

Dr. Kefa M. Otiso serves as Professor of Geography and Director of the Global Village at Bowling Green State University's School of Earth, Environment and Society. He also holds the position of Graduate Coordinator and previously earned the Service Excellence Award (2017-2020). His academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Minnesota (2000).

Dr. Otiso's research centers on Urban and Economic Geography with specialized focus on African Development, Immigration Studies, and GIS Applications. His work examines urbanization patterns in Kenya and Ghana, African diaspora communities in the United States, and the geopolitical implications of globalization in African contexts.
